STEEL-IT® Joins Team Lucas for Off-Road, Pro Pulling And Late Model Dirt
STEEL-IT® brand coatings, which provide superior protection from corrosion, abrasion, impact, salt, and other harsh conditions, is joining Team Lucas for 2018 to demonstrate their product durability under some of the toughest racing conditions on the planet. STEEL-IT will have a major presence in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS), the LOORRS Regional series, the Lucas Late Model Dirt Series and the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League.
For LOORRS, STEEL-IT is title sponsoring Christopher Polvoorde, Lucas’s 2017 Rookie of the Year in the Pro Lite class. For the LOORRS Regional Series, STEEL-IT is the title sponsor of the Production 1000 Class.STEEL-IT is also the Official Sponsor of the Late Model Dirt Series and is lending its name to the STEEL-IT Total Laps Led Award at each race.
In the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling Champions League, STEEL-IT is sponsoring "Dirtslinger" a Super Modified Tractor based out of Weldon, Illinois and piloted by multi-time champion Bill Leischner.

STEEL-IT brand coatings which are applied just like paint, are a line of specialty coatings chemically engineered to protect metal from corrosion, which weakens and can ultimately destroy it. STEEL-IT brand coatings contain an abundance of high-grade 316L stainless steel micro flakes. The flakes form a densely packed wall of pure stainless steel near the surface of the coating creating a barrier practically impervious to corrosive elements.
In off-road applications, STEEL-IT is used to coat chassis, suspensions, arms, and other critical metal parts. Race-car builders and teams especially value STEEL-IT’s Polyurethane product because of its weldability. The ability to detect damage beneath the coating and repair cracks and fissures by welding directly on the STEEL-IT coating (without first having to remove the coating), means that teams spend only a few hours to complete post-race tasks that used to take three to four days.
