'Duck Dynasty’'s' Alan Robertson Gives First In-Depth Interview To Be Featured On 'The 700 Club' Tomorrow

In an exclusive interview with CBN News to air tomorrow (8/23) on "The 700 Club," Alan Robertson, the beardless brother on the hit show Duck Dynasty, talks about why he left his job as pastor of a large church to rejoin the family duck call business, his personal struggle with his Christian faith and why he won’t grow a famous Robertson beard.

Alan made his debut on Duck Dynasty’s Season 4 Premiere that aired last Wednesday. Nearly 12 million people tuned in making it the largest audience ever for a nonfiction show on cable.

Alan is the oldest son of Phil and Miss Kay. He worked as a pastor for more than 20 years and tells CBN News that he sees his new position with the family business and appearances on the TV show as opportunities to minister to a larger audience.

This Friday, Alan and his wife Lisa will be featured on The 700 Club in their very first in-depth interview. CBN News White House Correspondent Jennifer Wishon traveled to West Monroe, Louisiana to interview the couple.

When asked about the attention he’s bound to receive as a result of appearing on the show, Alan says in the segment, “I really feel like God had prepared us for such a moment as this and when America needs some family to say, 'hey, we can make mistakes', you know, we can come from nothing - we can have all these things now but ultimately none of it matters except that we're saved and we're gonna be in heaven forever with Christ.”
