HBO Go Is Finally Coming To Playstation

HBO CEO Richard Pepler announced on Thursday that HBO will be bringing its broadband-video service HBO Go to Sony's Playstation 3 videogame console system "soon." There will also be a app coming for the PS4, but that availability date is even less certain. He made the announcement during an appearance at the BuzzFeed Brews event in New York City.

HBO Go is currently available on 12 platforms: PCs, Macs, iPhone, iPad, Android smartphones and tablets, Apple TV, Roku, Google Chromecast, Microsoft Xbox 360, Amazon Kindle Fire and Samsung Smart TVs.

The HBO Go app requires authentication - users must have an HBO subscription through a cable, satellite or telco TV provider - to access the programs. Current original TV series and movies are available, as well as complete runs of many of HBO's original shows and documentaries.
